7 months!

It's hard to believe Stella is already 7 months old. She's eating solid food (including peaches, apples, pears, bananas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and cereal), drinking from a sippy cup, sitting up on her own, and has a few advanced tricks up her sleeve. Stay tuned for a new video in the coming days.

Seems as though the nice weather is sticking around. Stella has lots of fun dresses to wear this spring, take a look at the photos for pictures of another great little outfit, and another little surprise.

Finally springtime

One thing we learned from being in New Orleans last month was how much Stella loved being outside. Well, it finally got warm here in Philadelphia this past weekend. And today Stella got to wear a new dress to school - no socks, no sweater, no hat, just some sunscreen. She got to play outside all day long.

Stella is getting to the age where she can get herself into lots of trouble. This morning we had her sitting in her bumbo, like we do every morning. We both turned our backs on her for less than 30 seconds and when we turned back around there was Stella with a mouthful of flowers that she had somehow grabbed from the windowsill - Tiffany vase and all. I later found out that the flowers are poisonous, but luckily nothing happened to her. Guess we need to start being more careful.

Stay tuned for more entries in the spring fashion show. The first installment is here.

Less talk, more pictures

While I was pregnant I got a whole lot of attention. But almost immediately after I had the baby, I became nearly invisible. All anyone cares about (for good reason) is Stella. So, enough of all of my talking. I know that everyone visits this site to see pictures of her.

I am going to try to get back to posting more regularly again. This week was kind of tough. Stella had a bit of a cold and woke up a few times a might for the past 4 nights. We think she is finally starting to feel better, hopefully she'll sleep well tonight.

More clothes!

I'm having way too much fun dressing Stella. Since she's not exaclty scrawny - she weighed 13 lbs 3 oz and was 24 inches at her 2 month doctor's visit - she really fills out her clothes and we get to put her into the cutest little outfits.

I'll be posting more tomorrow, I promise...

Sleep, glorious sleep!

Today Stella is 7 weeks old. A lot has happened this week. I think we'll call the battle over napping in the crib a draw. No, Stella will still not nap for more than 30 minutes in the crib. But, she won't nap anywhere for longer than that, so we can't blame the crib. On a very positive note, she is now sleeping from about 11 until 5:30 am! The goal of napping in the crib was to get her used to it so that she would sleep in it at night. Last night we tested it out and she slept from 11:30 until 5 in her own room. While the napping battle still continues, sleeping through the night is amazing. She's growing up so fast.

Today we're headed out shopping again. Stella is all dressed up for the occassion. We have to thank Grandma and Grandpa for this outfit. Check out her shoes - our good friend Aunt Jenny gave Stella baby Uggs!

So many clothes, so little time

Stella has a closet full of clothes, thanks to her generous family and friends, and a little bit of shopping with mom. She is finally at a point where we can start putting some of these very stylish outfits on her. It's a good thing too, because she has so many clothes, she may run out of time before she can wear everything once.

Yesterday Stella wore her first designer outfit - a pink velour Ralph Lauren track suit from Uncle Steve's parents, Mr and Mrs Henderson. A few people, including Nathan, compared her to J Lo, but I happen to think Stella looks a heck of a lot cuter in pink velour than J Lo could ever hope to.

And of course she needed shoes to go with all of these new outfits. To be cool like mom and dad, Stella got her first pair of New Balance kicks. They're the perfect accessory.

I know a lot of people are shocked by how much pink I'm letting her wear. I had always said that if I had a daughter, she would not wear a stitch of pink, not even for one day. Well, it hasn't been easy to stay away from it; in fact, it is nearly impossible. Almost all of the clothes made for newborn girls are pink, and I have to admit that she looks pretty cute in it.

I'm going to do my best to take a picture of her in all of her new outfits. They will be posted in the Fashion Show category.
