AMF Explorer 0.6

This evening I released AMF Explorer 0.6. This version adds a custom binary cache that should fix issues some users were seeing with AMF response deserialization. I'm still waiting for AMO public approval, so if you are using AMF Explorer you will need to manually update the add-on from the AMO site. Please be sure to report any issues to the AMF Explorer bug tracker at RIAForge. Thanks.

Kyle Dodge's Gravatar This plugin is great and extremely helpful. Thanks Nathan!

Levan's Gravatar I finally got response decoding with 0.6 version but I get following error with out streaming channel(only)
AMF request:
Unsupported AMF version 17491

AMF Response:
AMF response not found. You may need to enable AMF response caching via the Tools > AMF Explorer menu.

our streaming channel is configured following way:
   <channel-definition id="my-streaming-amf" class="mx.messaging.channels.StreamingAMFChannel">
<endpoint url="http://xxxxxxxxx/messagebroker/streamingamf"; class="flex.messaging.endpoints.StreamingAMFEndpoint"/>

Levan's Gravatar I just noticed that deserialization only works with AMF responses that have no Data in the body, every response that has complex dataStructure, is not gettign deserialized at all:
Component returned failure code: 0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED) [nsIScriptableUnicodeConverter.convertFromByteArray]

Nathan Mische's Gravatar Can you please report these issues to the RIAForge project but tracker (link in post). Also, if you can provide step by step instructions to reproduce these issue, including URLs, that would be helpful. I need to be able to reliably reproduce the issue to debug. Thanks.

Mark Totzke's Gravatar Thanks for the plugin. Very useful. Would be great if it could filter out relevant data, like service capture does. Otherwise its a bit difficult to find a specific request. Awesome work!

Nathan Mische's Gravatar @Mark - Thanks! I'm glad your finding AMF Explorer useful. Right now I'm still ironing out a few issues with AMF deserialization, but I definitely want to add a top level Firebug tab that shows key remoting data. Keep an eye on AMF Explorer, it will be improving in the coming weeks.
