Another cf-websocket-gateway Update

I just released version 1.2 of cf-websocket-gateway. This is a bug fix release which addresses I/O issues in the underlying Java-WebSocket server. If you are using cf-websocket-gateway I highly recommend updating to this latest version.

Nolan's Gravatar Hi,

Does your websocket gateway allow for channels to be dynamically created?

Nathan Mische's Gravatar @Nolan - I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "channels", but I'm pretty sure the answer is no. You must configure endpoints when you set up the Event Gateway.

Brian Kalbfleisch's Gravatar Should the SendGatewayMessage tag call the onIncomingMessage method in the cfc?

For example:

status = false;
event = structNew(); =structNew(); = "test";
status = SendGatewayMessage("myWebsocket", event);

I do not get a response from the event. However, if I call from javascript via the Websocket.send method, I do get a response.

Any ideas?

Brian Kalbfleisch's Gravatar got it to work, just in case anyone else needs help.

<cfset var event = {}>
<cfset event["MESSAGE"] = "TEST">
<cfset temp = SendGatewayMessage("myWebsocket", event)>

John Lyons's Gravatar Hello I hope you'll over look the N00bness of this question. I am confused about the configuration of the gateway i.e. that you define a port for it to run on. I thought the point was that it was full duplex over 80/443. I am looking at this tech to support a mobile game I am working on. Could explain how this works. Thank You Very Much for your time.
